Doesn't everywhere look wonderful at the moment?
Shopping in my local supermarket this week, I just couldn't resist
all the red, white and blues goodies
So patriotic was I feeling that I bought 10m of plastic bunting!!!
No slaving over hand made bunting for me this time, hehe!
and
(no I didn't buy union jack flags for my car!!!!!!!!!)
but
I bought a pack of 6 (plastic) flags to decorate my
plant pots.
Oh, can you imagine the groans from the rest of my family ....
I smiled at the thought of their horror (oh dear - bad person), as these goodies slipped into my trolley !
I have really enjoyed spending time in my neglected garden this weekend.
My constant companion, my shadow, my faithful friend
has loved every minute too.
Ollie rarely left my side.
A total pain when trying to read a book (edited to add
that was me reading the book, not Ollie!) - he would
suddenly (and silently) leap through the air and land on my lap.
Can you see that nose in the middle picture?!
He was very upset that I had left him behind
the gate ...
Anyway, come in -
not much to see at the moment
but this is where I have been relaxing
Look who was keeping an eye on me ...
She is such a big bird and her nest is so tiny
I hope they don't fall out of the nest -
not with a dog running around the garden!
I hope you had a lovely weekend too?
Take care
awwww Ollie sounds adorable...doesn't he just love you so..bless him! Naughty Mummy for leaving him behind the gate! (love pic of indignant nose)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for this little glimpse into your private space. Love the Jubilee decor!
I am missing all that excitement but in a way I get the feel of it from all the UK bloggers...nice :-)
Amanda
Hello Amanda.
DeleteIt is very exciting in England at the moment. With the lovely weather and Jubilee decorations everywhere it is wonderful. We seem to be happier and smiley again :)
I so envy you living in such a lovely area of Spain, we really enjoy our holidays there.
Happy to post you some bunting if you wish to join in the celebrations xx
Thats good of you...but I'll enjoy it quietly watching and reading all what the Uk bloggers have to say...and BBC World is bound to give a good report on what's going on.
DeleteThanks again
A x
What a fab garden spot you have to relax in. I'm lovin the weather and the patriotic colours that are all around.
ReplyDeleteOllie is lovely too.
It is a lovely shady spot for relaxing. I try to tolerate as much sun as possible but it's always nice to sit under the tree too.
DeleteWell done for your pass this week - I hope you had a boozy celebration!
Lovey post! I'm off to get my bunting this week for the garden gate and have flags in a jug indoors. You're garden looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVictoria xx
Hello Victoria. I LOVE bunting - any excuse to get it out!! I hope you have a sunny week xx
DeleteI was only commenting today that Malvern was looking wonderful with all the bunting - the countryside seems to have its best bib and tucker on too x
ReplyDeleteIsn't it all wonderful. It's so lovely to see people out and about, enjoying the sunny weather x
DeleteI do agree that everywhere is looking lovely at the moment and Ollie looks such fun xx
ReplyDeleteHe is a rascal really but lovely too!! For the first time in ages I had to have some time off work this week and he has been my constant companion. If I didn't work, I think I would have looked into registering him as a 'Pet for Therapy' - he certainly cheered me up last week xx
DeleteHello Four Happy Bunnies! I feel awful not knowing your name. I hopped across (sorry, no pun intended!) from Claire's blog, and found to my horror that I am in your 'followers' list, and I have never been over to say hello. So sorry, I am always caught unawares when I 'get' a follower that it takes a while for me to realise.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm here now to say hello properly and say what a nice blog you have. We love Springer Spaniels, we had our Sam for 14 years - pretty good by doggie standards, hey? And of course, I like to greet other Norfolk bloggers - I said to Cathy (Potter Jotter) there should be some kind of forum we could meet on, or have a get-together somewhere (the beach??) one day. Anyway, following you forthwith! Lx.
Hello Lynne - thank you for coming to visit my blog.
DeleteSam obviously had a very happy life - what a grand age for a dog to reach. Ollie is 6 years old this year - still full of energy!
I look forward to keeping in touch xx
Oh yes, my Union Jack bunting is up on my front wall! I might creep up the shops today and see what else I can find to titivate the front of my house. I clearly remember the Silver Jubilee (yes indeed, I am an old fart...) and I lived in the East End of London then and loads of people did up their houses and flats and I feel I should rake up my Cockneyness (it never went far to be honest,) and put my flags out!
ReplyDeleteLove your little spot in the garden. I am debating whether to set up camp out in mine later today.
Happy Sunny Monday!
x
I hope you did set up camp in your garden - it was so hot again today wasn't it. I remember the Silver Jubilee too :() !
DeleteOllie is oh so sweet, your garden is looking wonderful and the bunting has made a lovely addition.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the week, hope you get to relax in that beautiful sunny spot!(Preferably with a large jug of Pimms!)
Karen xx
I had the large jug of pimms last night!! Rain here today, so back to hot chocolate :O
DeleteLorraine xx
All of that bunting makes me happy, plastic or not :) Your garden looks like the perfect spot to read a book with your sweet pup!
ReplyDeleteLove your post today Debbie - can't wait to see the quilt x
DeleteWhat a lovely garden you have! Make the most of it (and your bunting) while the sun is shining.....
ReplyDeleteCarly
x
Oh Carly - it rained today :O !!
DeleteThanks Essie - hope you have a great week too xx
ReplyDeleteLove your red, white and blue fonts! I am also loving all the jubilee/olympic nonsense, any excuse to get the bunting out I say! Love the photo of your little idyllic corner in the garden. Sorry to hear it's raining. It's been glorious here today but I think it will be much cooler tomorrow. :-(
ReplyDeleteOh Gillian - my dry washing was out and i was stuck on the other side of the village ......
ReplyDeleteThankfully it has all gone now - fingers crossed for more sunshine tomorrow xx
Gosh - lots of red, white and blue. I have to confess I'm loving it too.
ReplyDeleteNina x
